Your yummy piroshki

As everyone in the outside world has been starring at their clocks, waiting for the Russian food cart to open, we here at Oly Piroshki have been making you fresh ooey gooey delicious piroshki. Tomorrow, we are going to trot off to the Olympia's Farmers Market and get even more stuff for our stuffings and soups. A tripe soup is coming up sometime next week, by the request of one of our adoring fans. And you too can make requests. It's the beauty of small businesses; you talk, we listen; pretty direct. More Russian sweets

Today, we're introducing to Olympia some wonderfully sweet Russian goodies. First up we have vatrushki, a Russian circular bread with cottage cheese and golden raisins in the middle- a wonderful soft and gooey treat. We're also baking up a most delicious apple pierog. We have very few of these sweets, so I would recommend all those with a sweet tooth to come quickly. And I have some pretty sweet news for vegans too. I have a vegan potato mushroom piroshki, which is deeelicious! Everyone ready for today's menu? Here we go...

Truly tasty, Tuesday

Many new and exciting things are happening at the piroshki stand this week. For instance, we have piroshki! And we have new hours! For all of those rushing to make it for scrumptious Russian food after a day's work, you have an additional hour to make it to Oly Piroshki. Now open 11am-7pm on weekdays and 12pm-7pm. Also, this upcoming week is bound to have many new delicious delights, so stay tuned.

Spring Equinox

Welcome to another spectacular Saturday at Oly Piroshki. And happy Spring Equinox! At 10:32 AM Olympia time, the earth was neither tilted towards or away from the sun. The equinox also marks the beginning of spring, a time for growth and restoration of food supplies after the bone-chilling winter. Yummy Piroshki

And we're back to another great week at the piroshki stand. This last Saturday, we had quite the turn-out and pretty long waits. In fact, we couldn't quite handle such a rush. If you were one of those people waiting in the cold for piroshki, come back and we'll make it up to you. If anything, Saturday was a learning experience. One in which we discovered that sometimes people want more piroshki than one has to offer at that particular time.

But on to more exciting news: we are now in the process of making an advanced orders feature, for all of you who would like to... well make an advanced order. When its up and running, we'll definitely keep you posted.

Really, we just can't stop making them and when we open our window, there you all are eagerly awaiting another great piroshki. Some come for the soup exclusively, others gobble down a piroshki too, and sometimes you stop by for a refreshing kompot and a dessert. Deep fry 'em


Do you ever crave deep fried piroshki? Well if you would like to begin this life-long craving, you should come by Oly Piroshki today. And because we care about both your taste buds and well-being, we are using a spectacular rice bran oil. Into the deep fryer, we are about to sizzle up some Beef Onion and Potato Onion piroshki. And to the right, in the oven we have Potato Maple Bacon and Cabbage Mushroom.

The soup of the day is our homemade Chicken Noodle- sure to sing away any sort of blues.

Refreshing beverage? Today a Green Apple Cherry Kompot.

Welcome ladies, gentlemen, and all those folks in between, on the sides, left and center! We have another fun-filled week coming straight ahead. But, first may I mention how spectacular the cherry blossoms are. The pink just warms my heart. So come outside, grab a bite and enjoy the smells of springtime in Olympia.
